Michelle is Cassidys closest best friend for over  6 years, they have gone through many different chapters of their lives together. More like sisters they have been told they resemble “two little old ladies talking at a bus stop”. Michelle is a big part of Cassidy and Marcus’s life, even photographing all their engagement photos! Wedding Party

We first met November 11, 2021, at a job interview for our current place of work. Even though we remained professional, we admitted later on that after our first interaction we went back home and couldnt stop thinking and talking about it to our friends. From that point on we casually worked alongside each other, occasionally talking about ourselves and personal lives. It took about 5 months before we began to talk every day that eventually led up to a Friday afternoon, deciding we were going to spend some time together outside of a work settings. That evening we took a walk around one of the nearby lakes around Marcus apartment. When we headed back, we both were so anxious. When I walked through his front door, he had paints, brushes and two canvas laid out across from each other on the kitchen table. We ordered pizza, listened to music, and talked for hours getting to know eachother. I remember both of us being so anxious we were stumbling over our words, but the nervousness quickly grew into comfort. From that point on we quickly and easily became each others best friend. We spent many evenings having board game competitions, sharing our favorite movies and TV shows to the other, and spending hours just talking about everything we found interest in. After a month of spending almost everyday together on May 19th, 2022, Marcus invited me out to dinner at a new restaurant neither of us have tried before Ninteen61 we spent the evening laughing, trying new dishes and getting to know each other even more. After dinner we took a romantic walk around Lake mirror that we typically would do often. When we reached the overlook of the lake we stopped to enjoy the view, Marcus then turned to me, grabbed my hand and officially asked me to be his partner. It was such a sweet simple moment that we didnt know would be the beginning of our story. Our relationship only grew stronger from then, and it was as if we had known each other forever. We began traveling and sharing so many wonderful experiences. We discovered lots of new things about ourselves and each other. We learned new skills together and supported each other in whatever new hobby peaked our interest. We still have many board game competitions and painting sessions but we most enjoy do absolutely anything in each others company. About 2 years and 4 cats later on October 23, 2024, we had come home from a long day at work. When I walked into our home, the living room was beautifully decorated and on the table sat a gift basket. Since we still worked together Marcus told me he had spent the entire day at another location when secretly he was setting everything up to celebrate our 888 days together. It was the sweetest thing anyone had done for me and I immediately felt butterflies in my stomach. (He’s always had a way of making me feel like that) We sat across from each other when I began opening the items within the basket. There were many paints, canvas and all the things i loved. When I reached the very bottom a ring box was waiting for me, when i picked it up and looked at him he grabbed my hand and got on one knee. He told me how much he loved me and asked me to marry him. It was the easiest yes I have ever said. We both were so in awe and tears brimmed our eyes as we held each other tightly. At the same table we sat across on our first evening together was the same table we sat across when he asked me to be his wife. That moment felt so dreamy and magical. Marcus then surprised us with a romantic weekend getaway to Amelia Island. We stayed at the cutest seaside inn, watching the sunrise, walking around the local art galleries, and feeling like we were living in a fairytale. We wanted to keep the announcement to ourselves for a couple of days to truly mask in the moment with eachother. Choosing to be with someone for the rest of your life can be a nerve-wracking experience, but for us it never felt any thing but natural. I think from the moment we met our hearts knew this is where we were meant to be, it just took us a little longer to get there. We both can agree that everything in life happens for a reason and we truly were meant to find one another. We are excited to start this next chapter together and are reassured that no matter where life takes us we will stand by each other’s side.

Engagement Photos

Hi family and friends! Please see below for more day-of details! Address: Harmony Haven Events 6320 US Highway 98 S, Bartow FL 33830 Ceremony start time: 3:30PM Please arrive 10-15 minutes before the ceremony start time to find a seat! Doors will close at 3:25pm. When you arrive please follow the parking signs posted at the entrance. When we begin the ceremony, we ask to please turn off all electronic devices and refrain from taking pictures or videos. We have faith in our photographer and videographer to capture that wonderful moment. We invite everyone to be fully present! Cocktail Hour will be held from 4:00PM - 5:00PM Friends, during this time please enjoy our grazing table and open bar! Family, please make sure to hang back and get your formal pictures taken with the couple! Seating charts will be located on your wedding pamphlet; make sure to go over this section during the cocktail hour to find your table more swiftly when entering the reception hall. We will be providing an open bar; however, our venue does not allow shots. Please request mixed drinks, beer, or wine from our bartending staff only. Regular beverages will also be located at the bar as well! Reception will be held from 5:00 PM - 10:30 PM Friends if you need to leave early, please send either Marcus or Cassidy a simple text goodbye. We would like to enjoy every second and wouldn’t want to get pulled away from enjoying this planned event. Grandparents and out of state family are the only exception to this request. The event will end @ 10:30PM; please meet our couple outside to wish them a happy send off! Please grab all belongings shortly after; the venue will begin to close at 10:45PM, and everyone must be out by 11:00PM! Dress Code: Semi-Formal AttireWe kindly ask to AVOID wearing t-shirts, jeans, flip-flops, or casual wear.We also ask any guests wearing dresses to refrain from wearing solid white, off-white, or ivory colors. Additional details: Plus ones &amp; kids are by invitation only. Please don’t bring any extra guests without communication with Marcus or Cassidy first. Most importantly: Have fun! Enjoy yourself and celebrate Marcus &amp; Cass as they take this next step in their lives. We look forward to seeing each and every one of you!
